DashTape reports Bitcoin fork asset BTCB2 hit an all-time high of $1,799 on September 5. Over the past 4 hours, its price has fluctuated between 750 and 1,000 USDC; the Neoxa USDC market recorded a 24-hour trading volume of approximately $1 million. BTCB2 originated from a chain split that occurred on August 8, 2026, at block height 961,632. The network subsequently changed its proof-of-work algorithm to Blake2 and reduced block size, and it can now be mined using Blake2-compatible ASIC miners. Neoxa Exchange and Nonkyc.io have listed BTCB2, with the former offering BTC, USDC, and USDT trading pairs, and the latter offering a USDT trading pair. Both platforms have limited liquidity, and CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko have not yet listed the asset. Based on a BTCB2 price of $1,000, its fully diluted valuation stands at approximately $20.9 billion. DashTape reported that Harmony has released two proposals to completely shut down its mainnet launched in 2019, migrate its native token ONE to Ethereum, and pivot to an AI video editing business. The team stated that threats posed by state-level attackers and AI agents are the reasons behind the proposal to shut down the network. Under the migration plan, a snapshot of ONE held in user wallets, staking delegations, validator rewards, smart contracts, and centralized exchanges will be taken at the network's final block. New ONE tokens will then be airdropped to the same wallet addresses on Ethereum, with no action required from holders; delegated staking and unclaimed rewards will be airdropped to respective governance treasuries. The total supply of ONE and its issuance rate will remain unchanged, with newly issued tokens intended for the new business, subject to feedback from governance participants.

DashTape Planet Daily News: Arbitrum Co-founder Steven Goldfeder stated that the industry should not fall into the "narrative trap" of simply comparing on-chain transaction prices. He noted that both Arbitrum One and Robinhood Chain actively guard against harmful MEV such as front-running, and that some chains marketing low fees actually impose higher MEV costs, with retail users potentially bearing additional losses through "hidden costs" like front-running and sandwich attacks. Solana Co-founder Toly responded that Arbitrum currently has wider bid-ask spreads and higher fees, and that even the cost equivalent to a 10% revenue share on fees alone already exceeds sandwich trading rates — with worse spreads factored in, he estimates total costs are roughly 10 times higher. Toly further argued that a model driven by a single sequencer pursuing shareholder profit maximization can never defeat permissionless market competition.

DashTape reports Bitcoin News stated on the X platform that the International Monetary Fund said El Salvador's bitcoin accumulation since June 2025 did not use public funds and that the accumulation reflects private donations. El Salvador disclosed in November 2025 the purchase of 1,090 bitcoins, worth approximately $100 million, bringing its total bitcoin holdings to 7,474. The IMF also noted that El Salvador is improving the transparency of bitcoin holdings across its wallets and strengthening governance and risk management for public sector crypto asset holdings.
