DashTape reports Dubai-based cryptocurrency exchange Bybit has launched USDT-settled forex perpetual contracts covering three major currency pairs: EUR/USD, GBP/USD, and USD/JPY. The contracts support 24/7 trading with up to 100x leverage available. These contracts have no expiry date, with all profits and losses settled in USDT. Traders simply track the price movements of the underlying currency pairs without taking ownership of the corresponding currencies. The product has been added to Bybit's TradFi Perpetuals lineup launched in April, which currently covers over 200 assets including stocks, commodities, ETFs, and pre-IPO companies. (Cointelegraph)

DashTape reports Uniswap founder Hayden posted on the X platform that the Uniswap interface is now capable of instantly routing most Hooks. Uniswap has launched a free API to support developers who wish to integrate its routing services, and has established a public Hooklist repository providing Hook classification and security information. The liquidity pool creation process in the Uniswap app has added a Hook dropdown menu, allowing pool creators to choose from hundreds of deployed community Hooks, and the Explore page has also incorporated Hook metadata. For advanced custom features that require manual review or security audits, the Uniswap Foundation has sponsored some audits.

DashTape reports Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ) stated at Bitcoin Asia that Bitcoin may surpass gold in the next bull market, with the current market cap gap between the two standing at approximately 10x. Ricardo Salinas Pliego estimates that if Bitcoin were to reach gold's total market cap, its price could reach approximately $1.86 million. He noted that if Bitcoin becomes a strategic reserve asset for nations, its importance could surpass that of gold; however, central banks and governments have already established systems for valuing, storing, and managing gold, and transitioning to Bitcoin will take time. Glassnode data shows that Bitcoin's 90-day correlation with gold has risen from 0.21 in March to approximately 0.57, while its correlation with the Nasdaq 100 index has fallen from 0.57 to 0.22. Total crypto market liquidations reached $264 million, including $187 million in long positions and $77 million in short positions. The Irish Media Commission stated that the investigation will assess whether X effectively implements age assurance measures and provides adequate protection for users under 16 while allowing adult content. The regulator noted that X's parental control features may have issues such as inadequate minimum requirements, being difficult to locate, and not being sufficiently highlighted to new users. DashTape reports Bitcoin News posted on X platform, stating that according to WELT, the German Ministry of Finance is drafting a tax reform plan to impose taxes on gains from Bitcoin and other crypto assets purchased after December 31, 2026, which will no longer be eligible for the holding period exemption. Existing holdings will remain subject to current rules, meaning they can be sold tax-free after being held for more than one year. The relevant law is scheduled to take effect in 2027, with the first tax withholding possibly beginning in 2028. The draft is still in its early stages and may be subject to adjustments later.

DashTape reports U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent stated that the expansion of the U.S. Treasury buyback program last month was intended to calm the "hysteria" building in the bond market and push market prices back toward equilibrium. Bessent said he cannot change the market's equilibrium price but hopes to reduce excessive speculation. He noted that if investors genuinely worried about U.S. debt credibility, they would sell Treasuries and buy German bunds—yet current market behavior does not reflect such concerns. Bessent dismissed comparisons between the Treasury's bond buybacks and the Federal Reserve's quantitative easing, arguing the measure is more akin to the Fed's past "Operation Twist." The expansion of the buyback program comes against the backdrop of 30-year U.S. Treasury yields climbing to their highest level since 2007.
